ERCP stands for endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography. Dr. Gurrola has performed this procedure many times in his 22 years of practicing medicine in Ardmore. This technique opens up the common bowel duct to remove stones.
The advantage to ERCP is that a full surgery isn't needed. Instead, a stent is put in the duct to open it up. This is also useful in the treatment of bile duct cancer as well as liver, gallbladder, and pancreatic cancers.
Dr. Gurrola did his residency and fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center. He has admitting privileges at Mercy Memorial Health Center in Ardmore, OK and at Alliance Health Center in Madill, OK. He's an expert in his field and takes great care of his patients.
You'll feel comfortable at his family-run clinic, where he provides friendly, compassionate care. Dr. Gurrola is now accepting new patients.
